The 100 Black Men of Charlotte reserve the right to distribute annual awards in accordance with recommendations from its Scholarship Committee and approval from its Board of Directors.  For 2026, the annual scholarship award combined limit is $25,000.00 or $6,250 per year for the next 4 years.  Applicants meeting or exceeding qualifications for an award are not guaranteed to receive the award.  Distribution of the awards will be in a fair and equitable manner in accordance with the funds available and deliberations by the Scholarship Committee and approval from the Board of Directors.

Board of Directors Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $10,000.00 

Be a 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte Chapter mentee with minimum 2yr participation in MOY

Currently plan to be enrolled in the fall semester of 2026-2027 academic year as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college or university

Have a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Have completed at least fifty (50) hours of community service within the MOY participation years

Must demonstrate significant leadership and involvement in extracurricular activities as demonstrated in the application and recommendation letters 

Must demonstrate public service above and beyond any high school requirements. One of the letters of recommendation must be from a verifiable public service organization.

Annual Educational Scholarship 

Scholarship Amount: $5000.00 

Must be a 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte Chapter mentee with minimum 2yr participation in MOY

Currently plan to be enrolled in the fall semester of 2026-2027 academic year as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college or university

Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Have completed at least fifty (50) hours of community service within the MOY participation years

 

Scholarship Amount: $2,500.00 

Must be a 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte Chapter mentee with minimum two (2) year participation in MOY

Currently plan to be enrolled in the fall semester of 2026- 2027 academic year as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college or university

Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Have completed at least fifty (50) hours of community service within the MOY participation years

Malcolm Robinson Scholarship 

Scholarship Amount: $500.00 

Must be a 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte Chapter mentee with minimum two (2) year participation in MOY 

Currently plan to be enrolled in the fall semester of 2022-2023 academic year as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college or university

Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Have completed at least fifty (50) hours of community service within the MOY participation years

100 BMOGC STEM Scholarship Endowment Fund
Presented by the Tearte Family Foundation & 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte

Scholarship Amount: Minimum $500 (amount may increase based on endowment growth)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a graduating high school senior

  • Plans to enroll in a college or accredited technical program for the 2026–2027 academic year

  • Must declare a STEM-related major or technical program of study

  • Eligible fields include Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Robotics, AI, Coding, and related applied STEM disciplines

  • Must complete the 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte scholarship application by the stated deadline

Application Deadline: March 15, 2026
