MALCOLM ROBINSON MEMORIAL COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP 2011
The scholarship was named in honor of the late Malcolm Robinson, a former mentee in the 100’s Movement of Youth program,
who died in an automobile accident weeks before he was due to begin studies at Barber-Scotia College.
To be eligible, a candidate must:
* be a high school senior in the Greater Charlotte area;
* show dedication to community service and good citizenship;
* exemplify high moral and ethical principles;
* submit a two-page essay describing their most meaningful community service project and the contribution they made
through this project;
* have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average;
* submit a letter of recommendation from their high school guidance counselor;
* show proof that they will attend a two-year or four-year post-secondary institution in the fall semester of 2010.
The winner will be announced in May.
