STOP THE VIOLENCE

In the year of 2020, there were 123 recorded murders in Charlotte. This is just under the mark set in 1993, of 129 murders. As we closed the second most violent year in the city’s history, the 100 BMOC recognized the need for leadership and coordination in the fight against this issue
(violence).

Though our primary focus is mentoring African American youth, we certainly notice this disproportionate effect that these murders are having on African American males
under the age of 25.
